The St. François Girls’ College Alumnae (SFGCA) invites passionate and committed alumnae to play a key role in one of our school’s most meaningful initiatives — the Character Development Programme (CDP).

Initially introduced at SFGC in 2007 during the tenure of former Principal Patricia McIntosh, the CDP was created to nurture values, discipline, and leadership among our students. At the request of former Principal Jennifer Gittens, the programme was reintroduced in 2020 with Dr. Donna Mae Knights '79 serving as Team Lead. Under her leadership — and with the dedication of alumnae from multiple year groups — the CDP has flourished into a dynamic, impactful initiative that embodies the spirit and legacy of St. François.

Continuing the Legacy — With You

The SFGCA is proud to now work alongside the current CDP team to further develop and sustain this vital programme. We extend deep appreciation to Dr. Donna Mae Knights and the team for their vision, leadership, and commitment to student growth. As we look ahead, we are seeking a dedicated Programme Coordinator to help expand and strengthen the CDP’s impact.

This is a voluntary role, but one rich with purpose — an opportunity to:

  • Contribute to building character, resilience, and leadership in young women.
  • Gain hands-on experience in programme design, coordination, and youth development.
  • Contribute directly to shaping a transformative initiative that embodies St. François values.
