On November 8, the St. François Girls’ College Alumnae Association (SFGCA) hosted an incredible Mix & Mingle event at The Bungalow that brought together alumnae from every generation. It was an evening of laughter, nostalgia, and community, with graduates spanning from 1967 all the way up to 2024.
The classes of 1974 and 2004 certainly represented well, however it was the current Form 6 students, who showed up in the most impressive numbers, illustrating the bright future of our College, as well as the Alumnae Association.
Throughout the evening, students past and present were enthusiastic in showcasing their François pride. From a comedically competitive round of trivia where everyone’s knowledge of the school’s history was put to the test; to singing our beloved school song in unison at the top of our lungs, The Bungalow was undeniably filled with the spirit of our shared history.
Additionally, several persons present opted to join the Alumnae Association on the spot, donate to our Christmas Hamper drive, or purchase merchandise. Every one of those contributions served as a meaningful demonstration of support for our alma mater that directly allows the Association to make a lasting impact on the school and our Little Sisters.
A special “Thank you” goes out to our Fundraising Committee for coordinating this event so seamlessly. Led by multiple-term SFGCA President and current Immediate Past President, Salisha Gomes-Andrews ’91, they created a space for us to share memories and bond over our shared values and appreciation for a place that shaped us all.
